Daviess County, KY (March 24, 2025) - A toddler was airlifted to the hospital and several others were taken by ambulance after two traffic collisions on Highway 144 in Daviess County. The Daviess County Fire Department responded to the scene on March 22, at approximately 3:21 p.m., where the first collision occurred near St Lawrence Road.

Police informed that five people were extricated from two vehicles with four being taken to local hospitals by ambulance and one by helicopter. Police say a vehicle went around another that was waiting to turn, striking the other with the toddler inside. Another call was made shortly before 5:00 p.m. concerning a crash at Highway 144 and Aull Road intersection. Information provided by the sheriff’s office shows that traffic was still backed up from the first crash, leading to one vehicle rear-ending another. Information from police shows the roadway was closed for several hours. Police in Daviess County continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.

We hope for the full and rapid recovery of the injured victims.
