Lexington, KY - Three Dead in Three-Car Accident on New Circle Rd

Lexington, KY (March 31, 2025) - Three people lost their lives in a three-car accident in Lexington on Monday, March 30. Police say the accident occurred on New Circle Road shortly after 12:30 p.m. on New Circle Road between Trade Center Drive and Liberty Road near Family Circle. Reports show a U-Haul truck and a construction van were involved in a collision, causing the van to catch fire.

Two individuals were inside the truck, and one person was inside the van at the time of the wreck. All occupants were declared deceased at the scene. Those inside the U-haul were identified as 47-year-old Kelly Curtin, of Lexington, and Emma Hayden, 55, of Lexington. Oleksanr Tyshko, 48, of Nicholasville, was identified as the driver of the van. A third vehicle sustained minor damage in the crash, according to information provided by police. At this time, the cause of the incident has not been reported. The City Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating.
