Fatal car crashes are a heartbreaking yet all-too-common occurrence in Kentucky, where hundreds of lives are lost each year on the road. Nationwide, the statistics are even more sobering—tens of thousands of people die annually in motor vehicle accidents, many of which could have been prevented. The vast majority of these deadly crashes—over 90%—are tied to human error or negligence behind the wheel.
In recent years, dangerous driving habits like texting, speeding, driving under the influence, and falling asleep at the wheel have only increased. These behaviors fuel a growing crisis that claims lives every single day. Behind every statistic is a grieving family, a child left without a parent, or a community changed forever.
