Kentucky Motorcycle Accidents
Car wrecks in Kentucky happen daily. Averagely speaking, around 150,000 traffic wrecks occur yearly in the state. Around 25,000 of these cause injuries, and more than 700 end in death. Regrettably, the majority of these incidents are caused by driver negligence.
Information provided by the NHTSA shows that more than 93% of car wrecks in the state of Kentucky and across the US are caused by the actions of negligent drivers. Motorists who get behind the wheel while intoxicated, distracted, or while traveling at unsafe speeds risk the lives of everyone they encounter on the road.
When motorcycles become involved in traffic accidents, motorcyclists often suffer severe injuries. Unfortunately, more often than not, motorcycle crashes are caused by the actions of negligent drivers. In fact, over 50% of the time, motorcycle riders suffer injuries in crashes that happen due to the actions of drivers who are distracted, intoxicated, fatigued, or speeding.
Negligent and illegal driver behaviors put countless individuals in harm’s way in the US, especially pedestrians and cyclists. When drivers act recklessly and carelessly, the probability of them causing severe or even fatal injuries is extremely high.
