Henderson, KY (July 30, 2024) – State Police in Kentucky are currently investigating a fatal accident that took the lives of one woman and two children.
Sources say the accident occurred in Livingston County on Interstate 24. A semi truck was traveling west on the interstate near a construction zone at the Tennessee River Bridge. Police say the semi truck did not slow down with the rest of the vehicles for the construction site and crashed into multiple vehicles. Five other vehicles were involved in the accident, police said. When police arrived at the scene, one of the involved vehicles was on fire. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Saundra Dodd, 68, of Evansville. She and two children were pronounced deceased on-site. Dodd’s husband also suffered injuries in the accident and is currently on a ventilator. Police in Kentucky are currently investigating the details of the crash.
