Kentucky Auto Collisions

Auto accidents in the state of Kentucky happen constantly. Every year, over 150,000 traffic accidents happen in the Bluegrass State. Over 25,000 people are hurt in these wrecks per year, while thousands more end up losing their lives. Across the nation, more than 3 million individuals are hurt per year in car crashes, while more than 40,000 people lose their lives in these yearly wrecks. Unfortunately, most of these accidents are caused by negligent drivers.

Some of the most common types of negligent driving seen in the US today include intoxication, distraction, speeding, and fatigue. Yearly, more than 12,000 people are killed in auto collisions caused by intoxicated drivers, which is approximately 30% of the national crash fatality rate. Additionally, distraction causes over 400,000 collisions per year. These dangerous behaviors risk the lives of everyone on the road at any given time, which is why it is vital to remain alert and aware while behind the wheel.
