Kentucky Car Wrecks

Kentucky is no stranger to car accidents. On average, the state sees hundreds of vehicle accidents per year. These wrecks end in injuries for approximately 35,000 individuals per year while over 1,000 end up losing their lives. Unfortunately, most of the traffic collisions reported in the Bluegrass State are preventable. In one recent year, over 90% of reported car crashes in the US were caused by negligent drivers.

Drivers who travel while they are under the influence of drugs, alcohol, speeding, over-tired, or distracted risk the lives of everyone around them. Negligent driving has become a severe problem in the United States in the past ten years. For example, distracted driving is behind over 400,000 auto collisions per year in the US. Sadly, more than 3,000 lives are cut short annually due to these collisions.

When you or a member of your family have been hurt in a traffic collision that may have been caused by a negligent driver, you may be stuck in a difficult spot. You may be dealing with painful injuries that are keeping you from working or seeing your loved ones and living your life the way you’re used to. This can all be overwhelming and stressful and lead to anxiety, depression, and financial difficulties.

If you believe your accident may have been caused by a negligent driver, you should consider working with a lawyer who can help you recover. An attorney can help you file a claim for financial compensation so you can get the funds you need to recover.
