Lexington, KY (November 26, 2024) – Two individuals were hospitalized after a car accident on Interstate 64 on Sunday morning, November 24. Police say a vehicle was stopped in the right lane when it was struck by another car at approximately 5:30 a.m. near milepost 84. Both drivers were transported to a UK hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police say the driver of the vehicle that was stopped was charged with driving under the influence. Both lanes were closed while responders worked in the area on Sunday morning. Police in Lexington continue to investigate.
