Kentucky Car Accidents

Auto collisions are a serious problem in the United States and throughout the state of Kentucky. Each year, across the country, over 6 million vehicle accidents are reported. These wrecks cause more than 3 million people to sustain injuries and approximately 40,000 individuals to lose their lives. On average, more than 17,000 auto collisions happen daily in the US that injure around 7,500 people and take the lives of more than 100. These incidents happen for countless reasons; however, Driver negligence has become the main contributor to over 94% of reported car crashes in the US.

Some of the most common types of negligent driving seen on American roadways today include:

  • Intoxication
  • Fatigue
  • Speeding
  • Distraction

When drivers allow themselves to become distracted behind the wheel, they often cause dangerous and even deadly auto accidents. More often than not, those victimized in these collisions end up with debilitating injuries that land them in the hospital for a prolonged period, where they are unable to work or see their loved ones as often as they would like. Injured crash victims may find themselves stuck with mounting medical bills, vehicle repair costs, and lost wages. All of this can make for a seriously stressful situation for anyone.
