Kentucky Truck Accidents

Tens of thousands of yearly car crashes happen in the state of Kentucky. These collisions occur for countless reasons. Most traffic crashes reported in the US and throughout Kentucky are caused by negligent drivers. Over 90% of reported auto accidents in the US have been caused by driver negligence in the past ten years.

When semi-trucks are involved in traffic accidents, those involved often suffer serious or even fatal injuries. The average semi is approximately 25 times heavier than the average passenger vehicle, causing substantial damage when traffic accidents occur.

Throughout the country, more than 7,500 individuals suffer injuries each day in car wrecks. Unfortunately, semi-truck drivers often engage in negligent behavior while behind the wheel, leading to severe or even deadly crashes. Among the most dangerous causes of car accidents include:

  • Speeding
  • Distraction
  • Intoxication
  • Fatigue
