Kentucky Pedestrian Accidents

Car wrecks happen daily in Kentucky, with approximately 150,000 reported per year. Approximately 25,000 people end up with injuries due to these wrecks while hundreds more lose their lives. Regrettably, the majority of traffic collisions in the state are the result of driver negligence.

Driver negligence is a common problem throughout the country, coming in countless forms. Drivers who operate their vehicles while intoxicated, distracted, fatigued, or speeding risk their own lives and the lives of everyone on the road. Yearly, millions of Americans are hurt in crashes caused by driver negligence.

Pedestrians and cyclists are the most vulnerable population of travelers on American roadways today due to having little to no protection against vehicles if collisions occur. More often than not, pedestrians end up with serious injuries that can land them in the hospital for lengthy periods.
