Mason Co., KY (June 20, 2024) – Two people lost their lives in a collision that occurred on the AA highway in Mason County. Four others suffered injuries in the wreck that took place near Walton Pike. Kentucky State Police report that an 84-year-old driver rear-ended a vehicle in the westbound lanes at approximately 12:30 p.m. on June 13. The impact forced the car into oncoming traffic where it was struck by another automobile. All three drivers were transported to the hospital for treatment. A juvenile present in the third vehicle was airlifted to UC Medical Center. Another passenger present in the third vehicle and a passenger in the auto that was rear-ended lost their lives. They were identified as 33-year-old Kayla Justice and Elizabeth Blackburn, 20.
