Park City, KY (August 20, 2024) – A single-vehicle accident along an interstate in Park City took one life and injured another at around 7:00 a.m. on Friday, August 16.
The incident occurred near milepost 49 heading north, police said. Preliminary reports found that a 2015 red Kia Sorento was headed north when it lost control and left the left side of the road, causing the vehicle to turn over before colliding with a tree. A backseat passenger suffered fatal injuries in the wreck and was pronounced deceased on-site. Another passenger was airlifted to TJ Samson Hospital and later taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.
Police in Park City continue to investigate.
