Truck Accidents Across Kentucky
Kentucky is no stranger to car accidents, seeing tens of thousands of yearly wrecks. These crashes happen for countless reasons; however, most traffic accidents are caused by negligent driving. Driver negligence has contributed to the majority of reported car crashes in the US, especially in the past decade.
When semi-trucks become involved in traffic accidents, people involved often suffer severe or even fatal injuries. The average semi is about 25 times heavier than the average passenger vehicle, causing significant damage when involved in traffic accidents.
Across the nation, over 7,500 people are hurt per day in auto accidents. Some forms of negligent driving almost all cause these wrecks. Unfortunately, semi-truck drivers often engage in negligent behavior while behind the wheel, leading to severe or even deadly crashes. Among the most dangerous causes of car accidents include:
- Speeding
- Distraction
- Intoxication
- Fatigue
