Casey Co., KY (April 1, 2024) – A two-car accident happened in Casey County on Sunday afternoon, March 31. Responders were sent to the scene shortly after it occurred at around 2:00 p.m. Kentucky State Police say, Otis Tapscott, 85, was headed east on Kentucky Route 70 when he ran a stop sign and collided with a vehicle operated by Teresa Burton, 56, of Yosemite. Tapscott was pronounced deceased on-site and Burton was pronounced deceased a short time later at the hospital. Additionally, a passenger who was present in Burton’s vehicle at the time, identified as 67-year-old James Burton, a Liberty resident, was also pronounced deceased on-site.
