Lexington, KY (May 13, 2024) – A man was arrested for intoxicated driving after he caused a crash on Friday, May 10. Ronald Smith’s BAC was 0.250, more than three times the legal limit. He will be arraigned on Monday afternoon, May 13. One individual lost their life due to the crash that happened in the 3400 block of Winchester Road at approximately 11:00 p.m. Billy Joe Williamson Jr, 54, lost his life in the crash. Upon arrival at the scene, police found Williamson suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was taken to the University of Kentucky Medical Center where he later lost his life.
