Louisville, KY (March 20, 2024) – A woman was charged with murder after she ran a red light and caused a fatal collision near Iroquois Park in Louisville. The Louisville Metro Police report that they responded to the scene of a crash at the intersection of Southern Parkway near Taylor Boulevard at around 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 17. A woman identified as Alexandria Tello was operating a Dodge Challenger when she ran a red light while speeding and collided with a Honda Fit. A police report said that she was traveling between 60 and 70 miles per hour. The two people inside the Fit were injured and taken to the hospital for treatment from the scene. The passenger later lost their life, according to police. The woman who lost her life was identified as Ardo M. Hassan, 66, of Louisville. The driver who caused the crash was found to have been intoxicated at the time. 

Authorities continue to investigate the details of the crash.
