Kentucky Car Wrecks

In the United States, car accidents happen constantly. In fact, each day, over 17,000 auto collisions are reported that injure about 7,500 people and end the lives of approximately 100 individuals. These accidents happen for a plethora of reasons including bad weather and car problems. However, in today’s world, the most common contributing factor in the causation of American car crashes is driver negligence.

Negligent driving causes over 94% of reported auto accidents every year in the US, according to information provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Drivers may display negligent behavior in several different ways, however, the most common include:

  • Intoxication
  • Distraction
  • Fatigue
  • Speeding

Usually, when people suffer injuries in these types of accidents, they end up in the hospital for prolonged periods where they must undergo medical care that is expensive and exhausting. In the US, the average cost of recovering from a severe car crash injury often ranges in the tens of thousands of dollars.

The only experience more stressful than suffering injuries in an auto accident is losing a loved one in a similar manner. Losing someone you love is never, ever easy. However, when you determine their accident was caused by the negligence of another person, you may be going through and even more difficult time.
