Louisville, KY (March 22, 2024) – A woman was hit and killed on the Second Street Bridge on Thursday morning.
According to LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell, the call occurred around 6:20 a.m. of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle on the Second Street bridge. Investigation revealed a woman was walking along the roadway of the bridge when she was hit. Per the latest reports released by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, the 38-year-old woman died from her injuries shortly after she was taken to the hospital. No further details have been released, however, and officers continue to investigate in the interim.
