Russellville, KY (August 21, 2025) – A tragic collision early Thursday morning claimed two lives and left two children injured in Logan County, authorities confirmed.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were dispatched around 6:15 a.m. to Franklin Road (KY 100) after reports of a serious head-on crash.
Investigators determined that a Ford F-150 heading east and a Ford Crown Victoria traveling west collided in the westbound lane. The impact proved fatal for both occupants of the Crown Victoria. The Logan County Coroner pronounced the driver, Lee Bradshaw, and passenger, Jose L. Garcia Jr., both of Russellville, deceased at the scene.
Two children, ages 7 and 12, who were also in the Crown Victoria, were rushed to hospitals for treatment. One child was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center due to the severity of their injuries. The F-150’s driver, identified as Dekamren Terry, was not hurt in the crash.
Multiple agencies assisted at the scene, including Kentucky State Police, Logan County EMS, Russellville Rural Fire Department, and the Logan County Aluminum Fire Department.
Authorities say the cause of the crash remains under investigation. Our thoughts are with those affected by this accident.
Fatal car accidents continue to devastate families across Kentucky, cutting lives short and leaving loved ones to cope with unimaginable loss. Each week, deadly collisions occur on highways, rural roads, and city streets, often caused by preventable behaviors behind the wheel.
Speeding, distracted driving, and operating a vehicle under the influence are among the leading factors in these tragedies. Despite ongoing safety campaigns, Kentucky consistently reports a high number of roadway deaths each year—underscoring the urgent need for safer driving practices and stronger accountability.
When a fatal crash happens, families are left to pick up the pieces. Beyond the emotional pain of losing someone too soon, survivors are often burdened with funeral costs, lost income, and the long-term impact of a sudden and tragic loss. No amount of money can bring back a loved one, but holding negligent drivers accountable can provide both financial stability and a sense of justice.
