Louisville, KY – Pedestrian Killed in Truck Accident on Palatka Rd & Manslick Rd

Louisville, KY (September 8, 2025) – A pedestrian was tragically killed early Sunday morning, September 7, after being struck by a pickup truck near Iroquois Park. The incident occurred at approximately 3:20 a.m. at the intersection of Palatka Road and Manslick Road.

Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Aaron Ellis reported that the driver of the truck was traveling north on St. Andrews Church Road. As the driver entered the intersection where it becomes Palatka and Manslick, the truck hit the pedestrian who was crossing the road.

The driver of the truck remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities until first responders arrived. Tragically, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident. The name of the pedestrian has not been released.
