Crescent Springs, KY (September 9, 2025) – One person tragically died after a fire broke out early Sunday morning, September 7, at a mobile home in Crescent Springs.
According to Crescent Springs/Villa Hills Fire & EMS, Kenton County dispatch received a call around 3:20 a.m. about a fire at a single-family home on the 2400 block of Terra Cotta Street.
A second call soon followed, reporting that an immobile resident and three pets were still inside the home.
When fire crews arrived, they found heavy flames coming from the front of a double-wide mobile home. The incident commander quickly upgraded the response, bringing in units from Fort Mitchell, Erlanger, Edgewood, and Fort Wright.
Firefighters located the victim and two of the three pets 23 minutes after the initial call. Sadly, the victim did not survive. Emergency teams confirmed that three other people were displaced as a result of the fire.
Crews brought the blaze under control about 30 minutes after the first dispatch. Investigators continue to search for the cause of the fire, and the victim’s name has not been released.
