Fatal Car Accidents in Kentucky
Head-On Collision Kills One, Critically Injures Another on KY 144

Head-on collisions are among the most dangerous types of accidents. In these crashes, the risk of severe injuries or fatalities is high, often due to the combined force of the two vehicles colliding. The aftermath of such accidents can be overwhelming, especially for families who lose a loved one or have to cope with serious injuries.

In cases of wrongful death, families may be entitled to compensation for a variety of damages, including:

  • Funeral and burial expenses: Compensation can cover the costs of laying a loved one to rest.
  • Medical bills: If the deceased individual was hospitalized before passing, the family may be entitled to compensation for medical treatment expenses.
  • Lost wages: If the victim was the primary earner, the family may receive compensation for the lost income and financial support.
  • Pain and suffering: While difficult to quantify, families may receive compensation for the emotional and mental anguish caused by the loss.
  • Loss of companionship: Surviving family members may also receive compensation for the loss of the love, care, and support that the deceased person provided.

When an accident leads to death, victims and their families have the right to pursue compensation through a wrongful death claim.
