Muldraugh, KY (October 20, 2025) – A tragic crash on Dixie Highway on Sunday, October 19, claimed the life of a Louisville man, according to Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 4 in Elizabethtown.
Troopers said the accident occurred just before 6 a.m. when 24-year-old Jordan Sanborn of Louisville was driving a Nissan sedan north on Dixie Highway. Investigators reported that Sanborn’s vehicle struck 34-year-old Troy Jackson, also from Louisville. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but despite their efforts, Jackson died at the scene. The Meade County Coroner’s Office pronounced him deceased shortly after their arrival.
Sanborn sustained minor injuries and was transported to Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown for treatment. Authorities closed part of Dixie Highway for several hours while investigators examined the crash site, collected evidence, and worked to determine what caused the deadly collision.
The Kentucky State Police investigation remains ongoing, and no further details have been released.
Our deepest condolences go out to the family and loved ones of Troy Jackson during this challenging time.
