Louisville, KY (November 20, 2025) – A Jeffersontown Police officer and another driver were injured Wednesday morning, November 19, following a collision at the intersection of Taylorsville Road and South Hurstbourne Parkway. The crash happened around 7:00 a.m.
While responding to another call, one officer became involved in a collision with another vehicle at the busy intersection. Emergency crews arrived quickly and transported both the officer and the other driver to a nearby hospital. Authorities said both individuals are expected to survive their injuries.
The crash caused major delays and forced officials to shut down the entire intersection. Drivers faced detours for several hours while crews cleared debris, examined the vehicles, and documented the scene. The roadway reopened around 9:45 a.m. after investigators completed the initial steps of their review.
The investigation remains active as authorities work to determine what led to the crash.
We extend our wishes for a full recovery to both individuals injured.
