Green County, KY (March 11, 2026) – A three-vehicle crash on Kentucky Route 88 in Green County Tuesday morning, March 10, claimed the life of a 14-year-old and left several others injured.

Emergency units responded to the accident after reports of a serious collision along Kentucky 88. Authorities said the crash involved a Subaru Forester, a GMC bucket truck, and a Ford F350.

According to Kentucky State Police, the 14-year-old drove westbound in the Subaru when the vehicle entered a curve and lost control. The Forester crossed the centerline and sideswiped a GMC bucket truck traveling eastbound on the roadway.

After the initial impact, the Subaru continued forward and struck a Ford F350 that also traveled eastbound. The force of the collision caused the Ford truck to catch fire shortly after the crash.

The driver of the Ford F350 managed to escape the vehicle before flames reached the passenger compartment. Officials confirmed that neither the bucket truck driver nor the Ford truck driver reported injuries.

The Green County coroner pronounced the 14-year-old driver dead at the scene. One passenger riding in the Subaru suffered serious injuries and medical crews transported the victim to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment.

Two other passengers from the Subaru also suffered injuries. Emergency responders transported them to TJ Sampson Hospital for medical care.

Authorities have not released the identities of the victims involved in the crash. Investigators with Kentucky State Police continue to review the circumstances surrounding the accident.

We extend our sincere condolences to the family of the young victim who lost their life and hope for a full recovery of those injured.

How Can a Police Report Help My Injury Claim in Kentucky?Juvenile Killed, Multiple Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash on KY 88

A police report can help support an injury claim in Kentucky by providing an official record of the crash. Officers usually document the date, location, vehicles involved, and statements from drivers and witnesses. This information can help insurance companies and attorneys understand how the accident happened.

Police reports often include details that may not appear in personal notes or photos taken at the scene. Officers may record road conditions, vehicle damage, and the position of vehicles after a collision. These details can help explain how the crash occurred and what factors may have contributed to it.

Witness statements included in a police report can also provide useful information. People who saw the crash may describe what they observed before or during the collision. These accounts can help investigators build a clearer picture of the events that led to the accident.

Medical records and police documentation often work together when reviewing an injury claim. Medical records show how injuries developed and what treatment a person required. Police reports help connect those injuries to the accident by describing the circumstances of the crash.

Legal guidance can help people understand how these records may apply to their situation. A car accident attorney can review police reports, medical files, and insurance communications to explain what options may exist after a collision. In some cases, individuals may be eligible to seek compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, and other accident-related costs.
