Stanford, KY (April 3, 2026) – Two people were hurt in a crash involving a police vehicle on Thursday, April 2, at the intersection of US-150 and US-27 in Lincoln County. Emergency units responded just before 5:00 p.m. after receiving reports of a two-vehicle collision.

Authorities said a marked Stanford Police Department patrol SUV, driven by Officer John Williams, was traveling east on US-150. As the vehicle entered the intersection, a 2018 Cadillac XT5 driven by Joan Hackley traveled west on US-150 and attempted a left turn onto US-27.

Investigators reported that the Cadillac entered the intersection against a traffic control device and struck the police vehicle. The impact caused damage to both vehicles and brought traffic to a stop in the area.

Paramedics evaluated both drivers at the scene before transporting them to Fort Logan Hospital. Officials confirmed that both Officer Williams and Hackley suffered minor injuries in the crash.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.

Our thoughts are with those injured, and we wish them a full recovery.

How To Document Injuries After a Car Accident in KentuckyTwo Injured in Crash Involving Police Vehicle at US-150 & US-27

To document injuries after a car accident in Kentucky, it is important to seek medical care and keep clear records of all symptoms and treatment. Early documentation helps connect injuries directly to the crash and supports future medical care or insurance claims.

Medical visits create official records that describe injuries and track recovery. People may also take photos of visible injuries, such as bruising or swelling, to show changes over time. Keeping copies of discharge papers, prescriptions, and follow-up instructions can also help organize information.

Some injuries do not appear right away. People may notice soreness, stiffness, or limited movement hours or days after the accident. Writing down daily symptoms and changes can provide useful details about how the injury affects normal activities.

A car accident lawyer can review medical records, photos, and other documents to explain what options may be available. Legal guidance may also help organize this information and clarify how it may be used when working through insurance claims.
