Kentucky Auto Collisions
Car accidents happen every day in Kentucky, with around 150,000 traffic collisions reported each year. Of these, about 25,000 result in injuries, and over 700 are fatal. Tragically, many of these accidents are preventable and often stem from negligent driving.
Negligent driving is the main cause of car accidents in both Kentucky and the U.S. In fact, over 90% of car accidents nationwide are linked to distracted, intoxicated, exhausted, or speeding drivers. These reckless behaviors put not just the drivers at risk, but also everyone else on the road, including pedestrians and cyclists.
When drivers are careless or inattentive, they significantly increase the chance of causing serious or fatal injuries to others. Common forms of negligent driving include texting while driving, driving under the influence, or being too tired to focus. If you’ve lost a loved one in a pedestrian accident due to someone else’s negligence, you deserve to grieve and support your family without the added burden of financial stress. A wrongful death lawyer can help you file a claim for justice and compensation.
