Bowling Green, KY (December 10, 2025) - A serious crash on Interstate 65 near Bowling Green sent one driver to the hospital by air on Tuesday, December 9. Warren County Sheriff Brett Hightower said a vehicle and a semi truck collided near Exit 20. The impact left the driver of the smaller vehicle with severe injuries.
Deputies and emergency crews responded quickly after the collision. Paramedics stabilized the injured driver at the scene. Because of the seriousness of the injuries, a medical helicopter flew the driver to a hospital in Nashville for advanced care. Officials have not released the driver’s name or age. They also have not said what caused the vehicle to hit the semi truck.
Officials continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
We hope the injured driver receives strong medical care and has a full recovery ahead.

Crashes with semi trucks in Kentucky often cause serious harm because of the size difference between vehicles. A tractor-trailer can weigh many times more than a passenger car. When a smaller vehicle collides with a truck, the impact can crush the car and throw occupants hard inside the cabin. Even if someone survives, injuries can change daily life quickly.
Victims in a Kentucky truck accident may face injuries such as:
Some injuries show up right away. Others appear hours later when adrenaline fades. That is why doctors urge crash victims to get checked even if they feel “okay.” Strong medical records also help protect a claim.
After a wreck like this, a personal injury lawyer can help victims understand their options and deal with insurers who may push for quick answers. An attorney can also dig into truck logs, maintenance records, and safety rules to find out what caused the crash. Getting help early can make a real difference while you focus on healing.
