Breckinridge Co., KY – Head-On Car Crash on KY 79, One Dead & Two Seriously Injured

Breckinridge County, KY (December 30, 2025) – A deadly head-on crash on Monday, December 29, claimed the life of a 42-year-old man and left two other people seriously injured in Breckinridge County. Kentucky State Police responded to the collision around 5:00 p.m. along Kentucky Route 79.

According to state police, a car driven by a Falls of Rough resident traveled along KY 79 when it crossed the center line. The vehicle then collided head-on with an oncoming Jeep. The impact caused severe damage to both vehicles and prompted an immediate emergency response.

First responders arrived and found the driver unresponsive. Authorities pronounced him dead at the scene. Two occupants inside the Jeep suffered serious injuries.
