Kentucky Auto Collisions
Thousands of car wrecks happen in Kentucky every single day. Throughout our state, there are more than 150,000 annual car wrecks, with more than 25,000 resulting in injuries. Sadly, Kentucky car crashes take the lives of over 700 people per year. Unfortunately, reckless driving is to blame for most of these incidents, which are avoidable.
In Kentucky as well as in the United States, most car accidents are now caused by negligent driving. Driver negligence contributes to more than 90% of recorded car accidents in the US yearly, according to data from the National Highway Traffic Highway Association. Distracted, drunk, tired, or speeding drivers not only risk their own lives but also the lives of other road users in danger when they get behind the wheel.
There are many distinct types of driver negligence, such as alcohol, speeding, distraction, and exhaustion. For instance, drunk driving causes over 11,000 annual deaths, while speeding results in over 12,000 annual fatalities. In addition, driver distraction results in over 400,000 traffic accidents annually.
