Kentucky Car Accidents
Kentucky car crashes happen constantly. Every year, 150,000 auto accidents are reported throughout the state. Tens of thousands of people are hurt in these wrecks, while hundreds end up losing their lives every year. Across the nation, over 40,000 people are killed per year in traffic accidents. Most of these wrecks happen due to drivers who are intoxicated, distracted, fatigued, and speeding.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration states that more than 90% of reported car crashes in the US are caused by negligent driving. Auto accidents that happen when drivers are negligent are often more severe than other types of accidents due to drivers having their judgment impaired and reaction times reduced.
